Seeking out each injured or distressed child, these special dogs and their handlers provide a paw, a pat, and even a Polaroid picture to help ease the pain and tears.  There is an unmistakable moment when the children forget their surroundings and focus on the love from their new furry friend.  It is a gift these dogs will continue to provide to even more children as the hospital expands into its new facility at the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
