What: Pet Therapy Seminar
When: Saturday, August 23

Instructor: Jessica Harrison, a Certified Delta Evaluator & Debi Krakar
Where: Romp N Run
Please arrive by 9:15 to check in. Solid obedience skills required to attend. Ideal dogs are well behaved around other dogs and enjoy a lot of attention and handling from strangers. Vet records required at check in.
Fee $35 for one handler and one dog
An additional fee of $15 for an extra handler with same dog
Optional $40 –Delta Society Pet Partners Team Training Course Manual – can be pre-ordered or purchased at class on a first come, first served basis.
The seminar covers:
- Benefits and Requirements of Delta Society Pet Partners Registration
- Pet Therapy Opportunities in Schools and Libraries
- Pet Therapy Opportunities in Hospitals and Nursing Homes
- Preliminary Assessment of you and your dog’s suitability for Pet Therapy
- Instruction on the material required to pass the written portion of the Delta Pet Partners Evaluation
- Training for you and your dog with a Delta evaluator on the skills required to pass the hands on portion of the Delta Pet Partners evaluation
You are eligible to attend the seminar if:
- Your dog is well socialized, behaves well around other dogs and enjoys handling by strangers
- Your dog has solid obedience skills
- Your dog is at least 9 months old
- Your dog is current on all vaccinations and fecal negative
- You are at least 10 years old

Jessica Harrison, a certified Delta Evaluator, owner of Romp N’ Run Ranch, Chairperson of Woody Pet Therapy Program at Children’s Hospital and Advisory Board Member of Austin Dog Alliance.
Debi Krakar, Executive Director of Austin Dog Alliance, Delta Society and Intermountain Therapy Pet Partner Registered with her dog Riley.
