Austin Dog Alliance focuses on placing social dogs in loving homes. We do our best to carefully evaluate dogs and puppies in the shelter environment and then have them live in homes with foster families until adoption. While not an exact science, this one on one, in-home interaction allows us to better know each dog so that we can do our very best to match size, energy level, training requirements and personality with your family’s needs. If your family situation includes children, we spend extra time to ensure that the dog is comfortable with children and that you are prepared to include a special playmate into your home.

If you are ready to start on this exciting journey, please complete an adoption application. Application processing usually happens in a few days. We will visit with your vet about care any current/past pets have received, we will visit with the references you provide. Then we will most importantly visit with you about what you are looking for in a new family member.
